# Trip Planner

> Find coffee shops along your route when traveling

The trip planner helps you discover coffee shops along your travel route. Plan your trip and find great stops for coffee between any two locations in Malaysia.

## How to use it

    You need to be signed in to use the trip planner. You can sign in with your Apple or Google account.

  <Step title="Set your origin and destination">
    Enter your starting point and destination using the search box, or tap **"My location"** to use your current location.

  <Step title="Choose a search radius">
    Select how far from the route to look for coffee shops:

    * **1 km** (default) — Shops right along the route
    * **2 km** — A bit wider search
    * **5 km** — Includes shops further from the main road

  <Step title="Search">
    Tap **Search** to find coffee shops along your route. The results appear on the map and in a list panel.

## Reading the results

After searching, you'll see:

* **Route line** on the map showing your driving route
* **Coffee shop markers** with logos placed along the route
* **Results panel** listing all shops found, sorted by position along the route
* **Shop count** badge showing how many stops were found

Tap on any shop in the list or on the map to see its name, location, and a link to its petakopi.my page.

## Tips

* **Start with 1 km radius** — you'll get the shops closest to your route. Widen to 2 km or 5 km if you want more options.
* **Up to 50 shops** are shown per search. On popular routes, shops are spread evenly across the route so you see options for the whole journey.
* **Routes are cached** — searching the same origin and destination again is instant.

## Limits

* You can search up to **10 times per minute**. If you hit the limit, a countdown timer shows when you can search again.
* The trip planner requires a **sign-in** to use. Search inputs are disabled until you're logged in.
